Thanks to GSM these headsets can be used with any smartphone wherever GSM is available, with licenses no longer required. The PTT button has been placed on the righthand headphone for easy operation and by using the conference call function available on most smartphones, it is now possible to communicate with multiple people at the same time, ensuring the driver can be in touch with everyone in the pitlane.
