Stilo WRC 8860 DES Rally helmet manufactured from moulded, autoclaved, carbon fibre and unlike the other helmets in the Stilo range, the 8860 versions are manufactured completely from carbon fibre for higher strength, yet lesser weight. This helmet is fitted with Stilo's WRC intercom system, with noise attenuating earmuffs with speakers, a magnetic-dynamic noise cancelling microphone and a fully integrated intercom plug.
Stilo WRC DES helmets are also fitted with an easily adjustable microphone holder. All it takes to change the position of the microphone is to remove the holder padding and to insert spacers that move the microphone 5mm, 10mm or 15mm closer to your mouth. They have an integrated headset connection plug, which is positioned away from the FHR/HANS posts to improve the jack connection to the intercom amplifier cable. Inside the earmuffs sit the WRC earphone speakers. The pressure points on the head can be adjusted by replacing the special foam rubber pads placed between the earmuffs and the helmet. Also fitted with Stilo's EPS cheekpads, it's the only helmet on the market, fitted both with earmuffs and EPS (expandable polystyrene) cheekpads. Stilos experience gained from the ST4 (first helmet in the world to be F1 certified with earmuffs) has been carried over to the WRC DES and the use of EPS cheekpads ensures better protection in case of lateral impacts. The helmet is finished off with an adjustable carbon fibre peak, which can be raised or lowered to give the driver clearer visibility even when the sun is on the horizon. The helmet is produced in two shell sizes, the smaller one for the x-small, small and medium sizes and a larger shell for the large and x-large models. The helmets weigh 1350gą30g and 1400gą30g respectively. FIA 8860-2010 and Snell SA2005 Approved.
