Vauxhall Nova Kit Car
The car was built to the current specification
detailed for the 2000 rally season and finished second in class
on its first event the Carnival Stages at Abingdon in June 2000.
The 2000 season was used as an extended test session to iron out
any bugs and develop the package into a winner. The intention
was then to go for an all out attack on the Rally 2001 Tarmac
Championship. Unfortunately due to the Foot & Mouth Epidemic
this was not possible. We only managed to contest two rounds of
the Championship but won our class each time. Avon Park was particularly
satisfying as it was the first time for car and driver at that
venue. This year due to work commitments we chose to compete on
a selection of events that appealed to the team. The highlight
of the year was winning our class on the National A Tour Of Cornwall
Rally and Carnival Stages, Abingdon. The car has not been beaten
since June 2000 winning its class on every event completed as
can be seen from the results below.
